In particular, aims to convey to its different recipients (university students, social agents, political leaders and the general public) the equality measures implemented by the European Union and, in particular, those adopted against gender violence and against domestic violence. Likewise, the aim is to publicize the legislative initiative of the Proposal for a Directive (UE) 2024\/1385 of the European Parliament and of the Council of May 14, 2024 on the \"fight against violence against women and domestic violence\", highlighting the sensitivity of the European Union towards these phenomena.\u00a0<\/p>

The proposed will not only educate on equality policies and those aimed at fighting against gender violence and family violence, but will also raise awareness among its recipients about a very specific aspect: the treatment that the European Union proposes for the inclusion of migrant women and women of migrant origin who are victims of gender violence or domestic violence.<\/p>

The study of the Directive is one of the objectives pursued in this Module because since the conclusion of the Istanbul Convention (2011) until today, new forms of violence have arisen and these can be solved with other protection measures for victims. For this reason, the Directive regulates minimum standards that Member States must promote to improve prevention, protection, support for victims, access to justice and coordination. The Directive will provide for the first time a comprehensive framework to effectively combat violence against women and domestic violence across the European Union, offering legal certainty, effective enforcement and protection of victims.<\/p>

In particular, the study will focus on the measures adopted by the European Union to combat violence against women and domestic violence, focusing especially on migrant women and women of migrant origin.<\/p>
